The Statue of Unity

The Golden Bridge 

The Golden Bridge attaches Ankleshwar to Bharuch in the Gujarat state. It was formulated in 1881 by the British, who required a bridge over the Narmada River to perform a more reliable way to trade and enforcement officials in Bombay (now called Mumbai). The bridge is also named the Narmada Bridge.




Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary

Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is a secured stretch in India's Gujarat state, positioned in the western Satpura Range south of the Narmada River and is 607.7 km2 (234.6 sq mi) long. It yields a joint boundary with Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. It includes mixed dry deciduous jungle, riverine forest, few pockets of humid teak forest, farming areas and two water reservoirs.] It was founded in 1982.


Four Digambara Jain temples are located at Ankleshwar, namely: 1. Chintamani Parshwanatha temple, 2. Neminatha temple, 3. Adinatha temple, and 4. Mahavira temple.

Amongst the whole, the Parshwanatha temple is particularly significant. It is assumed that the avatar of Parshwanatha in this temple is truly miraculous. There is a tale related to this idol that enlightens us about its installation. It is said that three Jaina idols of Bhagwan Sheetalanatha, Chintamani Parshwanatha and Nandi were made at Raskund. While these three idols held taken from Raskud to many places, the carriage bearing the Parshwanatha idol stayed here and could not go and thus the idol of Chintamani Parshwanatha was established here.

The idol of Bhagwan Sheetalanatha was situated at a place called Sajod which is located at a distance of 8 km from this place.
